Professor Matranga is a Lecturer in Fashion Design, focusing on the intersections between fashion design and the art of drawing and painting. Before arriving at IU, she taught fashion design at the University of Delaware, Purdue University, and Stephens College. In the fashion industry, she also worked as a product developer for York luggage, Perry Ellis, Jordache, Diane von Furstenburg, Design Accessories in Philadelphia, and Ashton Drake in Chicago. In addition to fashion illustration, Professor Matranga has taught ideation, textiles, accessories, and several other fashion design studios. In collaboration with Paris American Academy, she regularly takes students in fashion design and merchandising to Paris for summer field seminars.
