Sculpture

Defy time + space

Sculpture at the School of Art, Architecture and Design incorporates all media and encourages interdisciplinary work and experimentation. The curriculum offers a diverse range of perspectives driven by a highly adaptive and rigorous studio environment. Students are encouraged to challenge sculptural paradigms, explore materiality, and seek advanced avenues of research. We nurture masterful makers and resourceful artists.

Diverse spaces, materials + creations

With access to an exceptional woodshop, a large-scale metal shop, an active foundry, areas for stone carving, and individual studios, students can create with a variety of materials in diverse environments—enabling them to take risks and challenge limitations.

Make + think

The expanding area of sculpture challenges students to broaden their approach by exploring emerging technologies, installation, and interdisciplinary work in conjunction with traditional skills and media, such as welding and foundry practice.
