Bill Blass Series Events
Lecture: Wednesday, October 3, 4:30pm at the Mathers Museum of World Cultures (416 North Indiana Ave).
Equal parts artist, architect and builder, master milliner Loreta Corsetti has been creating unusual headwear for discerning clients for over thirty years and has gained a reputation for excellence and ingenuity in her craft.
Corsetti has a passion for the past, everything from the Italian Renaissance to the innovative age of Art Deco, and she takes her inspiration from the obvious to the obscure and occasionally from the absurd. By applying these aesthetics to her lavish line of chapeaux, Corsetti has built and tailored her millinery business to appeal to both art lover and hat connoisseur alike.
Her lecture will be presented in conjunction with the exhibit “Heads and Tales,” produced in collaboration with the Elizabeth Sage Historic Costume Collection. The event will be free and open to the public, and will be sponsored by the Sage Collection as part of the Bill Blass Fashion Design Speaker Series.
