Celebrating a Jazz Icon: 100 Years of Ella Fitzgerald Exhibition

Celebrating a Jazz Icon: 100 Years of Ella Fitzgerald is an exhibition featuring pieces from Ella Fitzgerald’s wardrobe from the Sage Collection, as well as images, albums, sheet music, and books from the Black Film Center/Archive at Indiana University, the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation, and the Great American Songbook Foundation. The exhibition and events are part of a year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of this treasured American artist.

Heads and Tales
Exhibition: January 26, 2018 through December 16, 2018 at the Mathers Museum of World Cultures (416 North Indiana Ave).
Produced in conjunction with the Mathers Museum of World Cultures, “Heads and Tales” investigates all things worn, styled, and associated with the human head. Looking cross culturally at different topics, including status and religion, the exhibit explores masks to makeup, and mortarboards to motoring veils.
