Karin Davis received her M.F.A. from the University of Colorado and her B.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her work is primarily sculptural, informed by her background in ceramics. Merging nature and body, she explores our relationship to landscape, the intersection of painting and sculpture, and the language of abstraction.
Karin is currently visiting faculty in ceramics at Indiana University. She has previously taught at Metropolitan State University of Denver and the University of Colorado. Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions including “Contemporary Clay” at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts, “Here’s Looking at You Looking at Me Looking at You” at Southern Oregon University, and “Species and Specimens” at Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum in Milwaukee, WI.
