JaeHoon Ma pursues research interests including user-centered design, occupant behavior analysis, smart built environments, and Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) education. In his work, he actively utilizes advanced technologies such as extended reality, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, and data analytics. He has contributed to research projects in these areas and has published peer-reviewed articles in journals including Building and Environment, Journal of Building Engineering, and Automation in Construction. Ma earned his doctorate in building construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology and received both his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in interior design from Hanyang University in South Korea.
